Yes! Our palm leaf plates are waterproof, making them leak-resistant and perfect for heavy curry foods. In fact, palm leaves are naturally water-repellent.
These palm leaf plates are made from naturally fallen areca palm leaves. Being entirely plastic or paper-free, these plant-based plates are also certified compostable. Meaning, when you dispose of them, they go back to nature and nourish the soil within 90-180 days.
Yes! We are happy to tell you that our palm leaf plates are 100% microwave, oven and refrigerator-safe! You can heat them up at up to 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
Technically, you can use them however you want! As stated above, these plates are super sturdy and durable. You can have your breakfast with runny eggs on them or savour the delight of something cheesy. Our palm leaf plates come in 3 different sizes. A 6" plate can be used for snacks or appetizers, while an 8" plate is perfect for pasta or pizza. Moreover, a 10" and 12" plate can be the ideal partner for a full-fledged meal.
Composting is a natural process where organic matter breaks down in the soil and nourishes it. Food scraps, leaves, wood, etc., are all compostable. In fact, our palm leaf plates are also certified compostable. To do composting at home, simply add our plates to your compost pile, add some twigs or leaves and let it cook. Our plates compost within 90-180 days. Once the compost is ready, you can mix it with your backyard soil to nourish it. In case you do not have a backyard, you can add all your compostable materials to a designated compost bin. Once it ends up in a landfill, the compost will automatically go back to nature.
